At that counter-question, Corwin hesitates for a long moment, trying to work out what to say. It's not really in him to lie, but he doesn't want to upset anyone, either, nor does he want to be dismantled before he gets the chance to join those which he would have to lie to claim to be a part of.

The hesitation, really, is probably answer enough....
